CADIMATIC / CADS Planner - software for students (before CADS)
With the help of the CADIMATIC / CADS Planner student license, the newest software will be made available for your use, without a charge, for your entire study period. The student license includes a license for one industry-specific CADIMATIC / CADS Planner software, the RASTRA application (processing of raster images), and one additional product. - Student license application – application for a student license, also includes the terms of use. A student certificate in the pdf-format must be attached to the application. Because the form is in the Finnish language here is a little help:
- Mark the "Olen tutustunut opiskelijalisenssin sopimusehtoihin ja sitoudun noudattamaan niitä" and press "Seuraava"
- Fill in your contact details ( Etunimi/First Name, Sukunimi/Surname, Syntymäaika/Birth Date, Lähiosoite/Street Address, Postinumero/Post Number, Postitoimipaikka/City, Puhelinnumero/Phone Number ) and press "Seuraava"
- Fill in your study details (Oppilaitos = Hämeen ammattikorkeakoulu, Opiskelun oletettu loppumispäivä/The end date of your studies, Koulutusohjelma tai -ala/Choose the product you want) and press "Seuraava"
- Choose the Main Product (Päätuote) and Add-on Product (Lisätuote) and press "Seuraava"
- Fill in your Email Address (Sähköpostiosoite), e.g. john.smith@student.hamk.fi, and add your student certificate (Opiskelijatodistus) pdf-file and press "Lähetä hakemus"
The terms of use of the student license in those pages state: "You may use the CADS student license for tasks related to study, including thesis-related documentation (e.g., engineering thesis). Another use not directly related to the study requires clarification to be sent to Kymdata OY. The charge for income-generating use per month is € 90 (inc. VAT); the billing practice will be agreed upon in connection with the processing of the clarification. The use of the student license in business activities or other income-generating activities without the permission of Kymdata Oy is prohibited."
Students are provided with an access right to the CADS software. For the duration of their studies, they can also install on their personal computer a single CADS application selected based on the field and degree of study. In this context, the duration of studies refers to the period for which a student is enrolled at the educational institution at which they were enrolled at the time of applying for the license and meet the educational institution’s study requirements. In order to verify the validity of the license, the student’s personal computer must be continuously connected to the Internet.
